This is a technique used to treat pain where trigger points, or "knots", in muscles have been found to be responsible for that pain. A thin, round needle is inserted directly into the muscle in an active trigger point. Electrical stimulation is often used to cause a repeated contraction to change the length of the muscle.
Here at TRUE PT we pride ourselves in utilizing a number of advanced manual therapy techniques to assist you along your rehab process. Manual therapy consists of hands-on techniques that allow improvements in joint mobility and tissue restoration.
This technique is used to stimulate your body’s healing process to assist with soft tissue restoration. It is a non-invasive technique that commonly assists with tendonitis and tissue dysfunction. IASTM has proven to be fast-acting and is trusted by physicians to allow timely improvements.
The therapists at TRUE PT are selective in choosing specific exercises that are personalized and appropriate to your deficits. Therapeutic Exercise is prescribed in order to improve musculoskeletal function, correct muscle imbalances, and address movement impairments.
These activities include using functional, dynamic tasks in order to replicate daily activities. Therapeutic activity is used to improved range of motion and strength while directly mimicking your real-life activity.
Each time you make a movement your muscles and nerves are required to work with one another. Neuromuscular re-education uses different techniques to restore normal function throughout both systems. This type of training focuses on correcting movement patterns for individuals with numerous types of injuries.
Young and old, many individuals have deficits with their ability to walk correctly and without pain.
